In this video, we walk through a real-world marine piping repair where a vessel’s cooling water supply line began leaking at fittings downstream of the supply pumps. Temporary clamps and patching had already been tried — but ongoing leaks and difficult access made full replacement costly and time-consuming.
To solve this, the crew used HydraTech’s ABS Design Approved Marine HydraWrap® Structural Composite Repair System. Marine HydraWrap® is a fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite wrap that restores structural integrity to damaged or thinning marine piping without cutting out or replacing the pipe.
